We’re challenging you to team up with your dog and walk a marathon (26 miles) or an ultra-marathon (50 miles) in a month this August. Join our paw-some team and raise money to end homelessness.

The challenge
Team up with your furry friend and walk a marathon (26 miles) or an ultra-marathon (50 miles) between 1 and 31 August. Raising money for St Mungo's means that we could provide a bed and support to almost 3,000 people experiencing homelessness each night.
You can take on this paw-some challenge anywhere, in your own time and at your own pace. Whether you choose to go on shorter walks every day or to plan longer distances at the weekend – it’s your challenge, so you can decide when and where you clock up the miles!
It's completely free to register, but we encourage you to raise £50 to earn your St Mungo's dog bandana, so you can both look the part while out on your walks! Ask friends and family to sponsor you and help us get one step closer to ending homelessness for good.

How your fundraising will make a difference
For thousands of people, rough sleeping can become a relentless cycle that’s incredibly difficult to escape from. Without a home, it’s almost impossible to find a job. Without a job, you can’t afford a home. And without urgent help, homelessness severely shortens, or even takes, lives.
Rough sleeping has been on the rise. With the increased pressures of the cost of living crisis, the number of people sleeping rough has increased by over a quarter compared to the previous year.
But with your support, St Mungo’s frontline workers can help more people off the streets and find them safe beds in from the cold. Your fundraising can make sure more people have their last night on the streets – and their first night of a new life.
£100
Every £100 raised could help someone into a permanent home.
£50
Every £50 raised could help provide essentials at a hostel.
£25
Every £25 raised could make it someone's last night on the streets.
