Team up with your dog and walk a marathon (26 miles) or an ultra-marathon (50 miles) in a month this August. Join hundreds of others also taking on this paw-some challenge and raising money to end homelessness.
The challenge
Team up with your furry friend and walk a marathon (26 miles) or an ultra-marathon (50 miles) between 1 and 31 August. In total, 4,118 people were recorded as rough sleeping in London between January to March 2024, this is an increase of 33% on the same period last year.
You can take on this paw-some challenge anywhere, in your own time and at your own pace. Whether you choose to go on shorter walks every day or to plan longer distances at the weekend – it’s your challenge, so you can decide when and where you clock up the miles.
It's completely free to register, but we encourage you to raise £50 to earn your St Mungo's dog bandana, so your furry friend can look the part while out on your walks. Ask friends and family to sponsor you and help us get one step closer to ending homelessness for good.

How you’ll make a difference
Sadly, the latest statistics show that rough sleeping is at an all-time high. Over 4,300 people were recorded as rough sleeping in London between October - December 2023, an increase of 23% on the same period last year, and the highest total number on record.
We’re here to reverse the rise in rough sleeping and support people to rebuild their lives. Our outreach workers go out morning, noon and night to meet people who are sleeping rough, and offer them somewhere safe to stay. Your support helps us to be there for more than 2,888 people every night.
